Centro Community Partners Selected by NALCAB for Award to Support Access to Federal Funding for Underserved Communities
Oakland, CA — CENTRO Community Partners has been honored as one of twenty nonprofit organizations selected to receive a $15,000 award from the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB), with support from the Truist Foundation. This significant award aims to empower nonprofits serving Latino communities.
This grant is more than just a financial boost; it includes a comprehensive capacity-building program encompassing funding, and technical assistance. With this support, Centro will be better equipped to navigate the complex federal funding system to secure funding and help entrepreneurs in underserved communities overcome the frequently encountered barriers in starting or growing small businesses.
At Centro, we are dedicated to empowering underserved entrepreneurs by providing access to essential resources, training, and support needed to build successful businesses. Through programs like the Business Model Canvas and Access to Capital Readiness, offered in both English and Spanish, Centro continues to transform the entrepreneurial landscape, ensuring that all communities have the opportunity to thrive.
Beyond these programs, Centro fosters a supportive community where entrepreneurs can connect with mentors, peers, and industry experts. Not only does our team provide constant guidance, but we also open doors to new opportunities, helping entrepreneurs navigate the often overwhelming landscape of owning a business. Through its holistic approach, Centro continues to transform the business landscape, ensuring that all communities, regardless of background or circumstances, have the opportunity to thrive and contribute to the economy.
