Ultimately, she decided to travel to the United States in search of stability for her family.
In Miami, Luz had to reinvent herself. She worked in cleaning, selling perfumes, and in the fields while raising her children alone. When the pandemic hit, her son faced new health complications, motivating her to return to the kitchen with a renewed focus. Thus, Verde Gourmet was reborn with a clearer vision and purpose: to help and show her love through food.
