Centro Community Partners Selected by NALCAB for Award to Support Access to Federal Funding for Underserved Communities

Oakland, CA — CENTRO Community Partners has been honored as one of twenty nonprofit organizations selected to receive a $15,000 award from the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB), with support from the Truist Foundation. This significant award aims to empower nonprofits serving Latino communities.

This grant is more than just a financial boost; it includes a comprehensive capacity-building program encompassing funding, and technical assistance. With this support, Centro will be better equipped to navigate the complex federal funding system to secure funding and help entrepreneurs in underserved communities overcome the frequently encountered barriers in starting or growing small businesses.

“We are immensely grateful to NALCAB and the Truist Foundation for their generous support through this $15,000 grant. This crucial funding will enhance our capacity to secure government funding, allowing us to expand our reach and deepen our impact on underserved entrepreneurs across the nation. This partnership is a testament to our shared commitment to fostering economic opportunities and inclusive growth.”
